David Chapel is an experienced HR professional dedicated to leadership, discipline, and exceptional service. He serves as a human resources business partner at the Muma College of Business.
His career began at age 19 when he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he developed a profound appreciation for teamwork, diverse cultures, and commitment to excellence. Transitioning from military to civilian life, Chapel joined the University of South Florida in 2012, holding positions in the Office of Graduate Studies, Office of Admissions, and notably within the School of Information as an academic program specialist, academic services administrator, and department operations manager over his eight-year tenure.
In these roles, he consistently supported faculty, staff, and students, emphasizing compassionate communication and collaboration. Currently serving as a human resources business partner II at USF, Chapel is thrilled to begin his new role in the Muma College of Business, where he looks forward to fostering an environment of continuous growth and positive impact.
