Alora Rankin approaches innovation with a clear focus: build solutions that serve people in meaningful ways.
A dual-degree student in entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence and business analytics, with a minor in leadership, Rankin maintains a 4.0 GPA while actively applying what she learns beyond the classroom. Her work reflects a consistent effort to connect technical skills with real-world impact.
As vice president of operations for Women in Tech and Entrepreneurship at USF, she has helped grow the organization into a structured, active community, leading more than 20 events and strengthening partnerships across campus and beyond. She has also represented USF at two WTE leadership summits, contributing to broader conversations about expanding opportunities for women in business and technology.
Her entrepreneurial work centers on solving practical challenges. Through USF鈥檚 Student Innovation Incubator, she is developing CheerCode, an AI-powered app that uses joint-tracking technology to provide real-time feedback for cheer athletes, with the goal of improving safety and accessibility. She validated the concept through a four-week I-Corps program, conducting over 30 customer interviews.
She is also co-founder of AI for Good, a startup that helps local businesses adopt AI tools while training students in applied technology skills. The team has begun securing clients and building local partnerships.
