Christian Schmidt named Muma 25 Under 25 Award honoree

Christian Schmidt arrived at the 911爆料网 with curiosity and he let it guide him toward a path in data and technology.

Originally an exercise science major, he shifted to business analytics and information systems with a concentration in cybersecurity after discovering a strong interest in data-driven problem solving. Since then, he has built a consistent record of academic and professional growth, maintaining a 3.95 GPA and preparing to graduate summa cum laude in May 2026.

His internships reflect that progression. As a data analyst intern at UnitedHealth Group, he developed executive-level dashboards and applied process improvement methods to support decision-making. He later joined Siemens as a business intelligence intern, where he managed SQL-based data and supported a cloud migration initiative.

Most recently, as an intern at RTX, he conducted a strategic analysis of the Department of Defense鈥檚 fiscal year 2026 research and development budget and presented his findings to an audience of hundreds of engineers, researchers, and senior leaders. He also developed internal tools to improve workflow efficiency, expanding his impact beyond his initial role.

Following this experience, Schmidt was selected for RTX鈥檚 digital leadership development program, where he will complete rotational assignments after graduation. His first rotation will be with Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

On campus, he serves as vice president of recruitment for Sigma Phi Epsilon, helping grow membership and support philanthropic efforts.
