Danh Nguyen approaches education as a tool for impact, one that should extend beyond personal achievement to benefit others.
An international student from Vietnam, Nguyen is pursuing dual degrees in supply chain management and econometrics and quantitative economics at the University of South Florida. His academic performance has earned multiple competitive scholarships, including the USF Supply Chain Scholarship sponsored by IPG and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Tampa Bay First Place Student Scholarship.
On campus, he serves as program chair of the Supply Chain Professionals Club, where he focuses on expanding access to industry exposure. He has organized guest speaker events, company tours, and networking events each semester, building partnerships that connect students with professionals and strengthen career pathways.
Nguyen has applied his skills through internships that emphasize real-world impact. At Feeding Tampa Bay, as a process improvement intern, he led a project redesigning how perishable food is sorted, reducing waste by more than 100 pounds per day and increasing the organization’s ability to serve families. At Merck & Co., he developed Power BI tools that improved reporting efficiency and supported efforts to reduce lead times in global vaccine supply chains.
Beyond the U.S., he founded DeliveRead, a nonprofit that has distributed thousands of books and school supplies to children in Vietnam.
