Elena Mere named Muma 25 Under 25 Award honoree

Elena Mere approaches leadership with a clear goal: build systems that create lasting impact for others.

A third-generation Bull studying business analytics and information systems at USF St. Petersburg, Mere maintains a 3.95 GPA while focusing her work on strengthening support for the veteran community.

As president of the Student Veteran Organization, she stepped into a group in need of rebuilding and focused on restoring its structure and identity. She led a full rebrand, recruited a new executive board, and introduced consistent programming that increased event attendance by 30%. She also partnered with campus and community organizations to expand engagement and support for student veterans.

Her work extends beyond campus. As a data research intern with the Florida Veterans Coalition, she addressed gaps in how veterans access resources by building a centralized database of more than 70 organizations across all 67 Florida counties. She also developed Tableau visualizations to guide outreach strategy and led digital campaigns that generated over 90,000 impressions, contributing to increased participation in major events.

In addition, she serves as treasurer of the Latin American Student Association, managing one of the largest student organization budgets on campus and supporting programming that reaches hundreds of students.
