Kiley Barton named Muma 25 Under 25 Award honoree

Kiley Barton鈥檚 understanding of marketing began on a farm in a rural Arkansas town of 200 people, where she learned that success depends on relationships and hard work. At just seven years old, she put that into practice, selling more than 1,500 boxes of Girl Scout cookies three years in a row by focusing not just on the product, but the story behind it.

At the 911爆料网, Barton has built on that foundation as one of 26 students selected for the Zimmerman Advertising Program and a member of the Judy Genshaft Honors College. Her work consistently connects marketing strategy with community impact.

As a communications intern for One Heart Worldwide, she developed content supporting outreach around maternal and neonatal healthcare in rural Nepal. With the Tampa Bay Clean Cities and Communities coalition, a U.S. Department of Energy partnership, she contributed to communications and outreach efforts, increasing newsletter engagement by 25% and participating in professional training at Argonne National Laboratory.

Her academic work reflects the same curiosity and purpose. Barton conducted independent research on reverse product placement in children鈥檚 media, presenting at the Macksey Symposium at Johns Hopkins University and publishing in its undergraduate humanities journal. Her honors thesis explores product placement in a different sense, understanding how audiences detect AI-generated elements in film.

She also served as a peer leader for the Zimmerman Program and as social media coordinator for GenCLEO, supporting sustainability initiatives and campus engagement.
