Marina Richter named Muma 25 Under 25 Award honoree

Marina Richter came to the 911±¬ÁÏÍø from Brazil in pursuit of opportunity. What she found was a community that would shape her and a responsibility to give back.

During her sophomore year, while balancing academics and leadership, managing coursework from afar while her family faced medical and financial strain tested her resilience. Support from the BRASA Scholarship and the Robert H. Burton Memorial Scholarship, awarded to one student in the economics department, allowed her to continue her education. That experience now informs how she leads: with a focus on protecting opportunity for others.

Richter maintains a 4.0 GPA as a dual major in finance and econometrics and quantitative economics. In the Investment Club, she took on key leadership roles. As co-head of global investment research, she became the first female and youngest student to lead the division, managing 25 analysts and restructuring its research process. Now, as head of placement, she built a mentorship pipeline connecting students with 20 industry professionals, expanding access to internships and guidance.

As treasurer of BRASA, she manages over $60,000 in annual funds and has helped raise $30,000 for student scholarships, directly supporting peers navigating challenges similar to her own.

Professionally, she gained experience as an investment banking summer analyst and will join Goldman Sachs as a sales and trading summer analyst.
