Riley England named Muma 25 Under 25 Award honoree

Riley England has built her college experience around a simple idea: growth comes from stepping into the unknown.

As part of the first graduating class in artificial intelligence and business analytics at the 911±¬ÁÏÍø, she chose a path without a roadmap and leaned into it. She maintains a 3.93 GPA while exploring how emerging technologies intersect with real-world impact. Her honors thesis examines the environmental footprint of AI systems, focusing on the hidden water and energy demands of data centers.

Professionally, England has sought out environments that challenge her. As a systems engineering intern at Systems Planning and Analysis, she supported U.S. Navy programs within a classified defense setting under an Active Secret clearance. There, she contributed to system reviews and supported executive-level briefings, gaining experience well beyond a typical undergraduate role.

She also supports financial advisors as the only staff intern at Northwestern Mutual, helping manage client communications and operational workflows, while running her own digital consulting work, creating websites and brand strategies for small businesses.

Her growth extends beyond academics and work. A nine-week self-directed study abroad experience across Asia pushed her to navigate unfamiliar environments independently, shaping her approach to risk and adaptability.

England also remains committed to service, organizing donation drives for underserved communities and supporting local animal welfare efforts.
