Heather Peshak George, PhD, professor and director of the ) in the Department of Child and Family Studies, served as co-editor of the "," the latest book in the Issues in Clinical Child Psychology series.

The handbook explores the foundations and applications of positive behavior support (PBS) in educational and community settings. It examines PBS implementation across K–12, early childhood, and alternative education environments, and outlines strategies for building system-wide capacity using PBS and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS).

In addition to her editorial role, George contributed to multiple chapters. Other CFS faculty contributors include Lise Fox, PhD, department chair; Laura Kern, JD, PhD; Anna Winneker, PhD; and Don Kincaid, EdD.

The series explores the intersection of clinical psychology and child development, covering infancy through adolescence. It addresses both typical and atypical development, with a focus on psychological, behavioral, health, and academic issues. The series spans diverse settings such as schools, clinics, private practices, pediatric centers and juvenile facilities, and includes topics like developmental psychopathology, diagnosis, intervention, prevention, family psychology, cultural differences, and ethical concerns within practice and research.
