The College of Behavioral and Community Sciences is pleased to announce the establishment of the Ben and Renee Walker Scholarship for the School of Social Work. This newly funded scholarship will provide much-needed financial assistance to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in social work.
Made possible through a five-year pledge from Ben and Renee Walker, the scholarship will award $1,000 annually, with preference given to students who demonstrate financial need and are committed to a career in social work. Each scholarship may be awarded for up to two semesters.

鈥淭his gift speaks volumes about the Walkers鈥� commitment to empowering the next generation of social work professionals,鈥� said Chris Simmons, PhD, LCSW, director of the School of Social Work. 鈥淭heir support will directly impact the lives of students who are passionate about making a difference in their communities.鈥�
