Leadership Studies Minor

Student presenting

Leadership Studies minor is a significant benefit to students in all areas of study, enabling them to lead lives of impact by providing them with the knowledge and core competencies necessary to succeed in work and life.

The minor is grounded in current theory and best practices from the multidisciplinary field of leadership studies. Courses are designed to give students a theoretical and practical grasp of leadership relying upon the basic assumption that leadership can be learned and, therefore, taught.

The minor takes a unique approach to leadership education that combines practical application of leadership theories and opportunities for students to learn at each of the levels of leadership – personal, group/team, organizational, and global.
