With more than $33 million in research expenditures fueling discoveries and advancing practice, our faculty, students and partners collaborate to address the most pressing challenges in education. Our national reputation continues to rise — reflected in our 2025 U.S. News & World Report our Top 50 rankings â€” and our work in local schools and communities remains at the heart of who we are. Together, we’re shaping the future of education through bold ideas, shared purpose and a passion for improving lives.

SHAPING TAMPA BAY

With nearly 60,000 undergraduate and graduate students and more than 23,000 alumni serving local school districts, the USF College of Education drives impact at every level of the Tampa Bay region’s education ecosystem. Our graduates include nearly 900 school and district administrators, almost 800 counselors and hundreds more psychologists, behavior specialists, instructional coaches and district leaders whose work collectively shapes system-wide instructional vision, supports turnaround efforts in high-need schools and strengthens mental health, college and career readiness, and family engagement.

ECONOMIC IMPACT

Together, USF Education alumni directly teach or support learning for nearly 400,000 K–12 students across Tampa Bay, contributing an estimated $1.2 billion in annual educational labor income—and roughly $1.5 billion in total regional economic activity when multiplier effects are included. This reach reflects not only the scale of our community partnerships but the lasting impact of our mission to elevate education through leadership, service and innovation.
