The Judy Genshaft Honors College continues to build on a decade-long partnership with the Kerolle Initiative in the Dominican Republic, a local non-profit pop-up clinic that brings medical care and health education to rural populations. This year, Honors students expanded research beyond the trip, and the college recognized Dr. Reginald Kerolle as an official Honors 鈥済raduate.鈥�

Dr. Deanna Wathington has lots of healthy ideas to share with the world, but not always enough time in a life crammed with activity. Most people would need a week to do what Wathington does in a day as she collaborates across various fields on the challenges facing health care in our communities. An affiliate professor of community and family health in USF鈥檚 College of Public Health (COPH), she formerly served as associate dean for academic and student affairs as well as associate dean for academic enrichment at USF鈥檚 Morsani College of Medicine.

USF COPH awarded $3 million grant
The COPH has been selected as a recipient of the Connecting Kids to Coverage Outreach and Enrollment Cooperative Agreement Program. USF joins a group of 25 grantees awarded a total of $66 million to enhance child health coverage over the next five years. USF鈥檚 grant, totaling $3 million, will support comprehensive outreach efforts across Florida.
