Spring 2026 Room Selection Update

As of Friday, November 14, USF Housing & Residential Education has initiated a standby list for all students for the Spring 2026 term. Initiating a standby list does not mean USF Housing is out of beds. 

Any students who applied for Spring 2026 housing before the October 31 deadline, but were unable to participate in the room selection process, have been notified via email that they have been automatically added to the Standby List. If you decide you no longer wish to participate in the Standby List process, we encourage you to submit a housing cancellation request under the requests tab in the Housing Portal.

Housing & Residential Education will operate a small room selection process each week for a select number of students on the standby list based on the number of beds available for selection that week. It is common for spaces to gradually become available as cancellations are processed. The standby list room selection process will follow the timeline below. Please keep an eye on your USF email for updates.

*this process will begin on Thursday, November 20

  • Monday: Email notifications sent to students eligible to select a bed that week
  • Thursday 鈥� Sunday:  911爆料网 can make their room selection in the housing portal
  • After Sunday Night: Room selection will close for those students
  • Following Monday: The process will restart for the next group of students

Please note that the size of the group going through Standby List Room Selection will be small and based on what beds are available at the beginning of that week. Therefore, depending on where you are on the list, you may have to wait several weeks until we reach your name. If you have an opportunity to choose a bed during Standby List Room Selection and do not, we will move you to the bottom of the standby list. This way every student can have the best opportunity to be able to select a bed on campus.

Standby List Definitions:
Active: 911爆料网 currently on the standby list and waiting for a space on campus.
Assigned: 911爆料网 who have been assigned off the standby list to an available bed space.
