Moez Limayem named the sole finalist for 911±¬ÁÏÍø president
Limayem served as the Lynn Pippenger Dean of the Muma College of Business at USF for 10 years prior to becoming UNF’s president in 2022. He has been recognized by Florida Trend as one of the state’s 500 most influential business leaders and received an award from the National Academy of Inventors for his many contributions to innovation and invention.

USF climbs to its highest position ever in U.S. News rankings
The 911±¬ÁÏÍø has reached an all-time high in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the best colleges. USF is No. 88 overall among all public or private universities in America, up from No. 91 last year. USF also rose to No. 43 among public universities, up two spots from last year, and inside the top 50 for the seventh year in a row.

Hundreds gathered at the Pam and Les Muma Basketball Center for a celebration welcoming Rob Higgins – the first CEO of USF Athletics. In front of an audience of professional athletes, elected officials and many who worked with Higgins over the years, the alum shared how his time as a ball boy as a child launched a lifelong love for USF.

USF Board of Trustees establishes Darryl E. Rouson Center for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Research
The center will be dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of the complex relationship between substance abuse and mental health. As part of the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, the Darryl E. Rouson Center for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Research will lead research aimed at improving treatment outcomes and reducing the broader societal impacts of these conditions.

USF secures contract with U.S. Army, strengthening collaboration with Department of Defense
The 911±¬ÁÏÍø has signed a five-year research contract worth up to $85 million with the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory. The partnership strengthens USF’s defense research in cybersecurity, biotechnology and energy sciences while offering students valuable internship opportunities.
