
Are you a passionate fellow against the use of oil and petrochemicals in the Gulf Coast (or Ohio Rover Valley), well then we have a wonder opportunity for you my fiery fellow. S.T.O.P is an organization for 911±¬ÁÏÍø Taking on Oil and Petrochemical Fellowship that offers a paid opportunity to students.
Priority consideration will be given to students that come from frontline communities or that attend schools near frontline communities, marginalized communities. The fellowship aims to offer a space for mentorship, project guidance, leadership skills development, and processing the imperative to halt harm at petrochemical sites. You will be paired with both a mentor and a site fight local to you, developing a project concept alongside your mentor & the community you will be learning from and organizing with.
Applications are open for the 2026-27 S.T.O.P Fellowship. Build long lasting relationships between student-led groups on campuses and grassroots organizations. Uplifting young people and their voices into the fight against petrochemicals and climate change.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all 10 positions are filled with priority given to applications submitted before August 1st. The cohort will run from September 2026 through April 2027 to be ready for a Fall start August 31st
911±¬ÁÏÍø will be paid $20/hr for 6 hrs/week for 28 weeks, for a total payment of $2,880 pre-tax, disbursed at the end of each month. Additionally, all fellows will have access to a $500 stipend (per person) to use for anything you might need to complete the fellowship, including tech, paid transportation, or other access-related needs.
