My name is Elizabeth Zacharias (she, her, hers). I typically go by Lizzie. I earned my BA in Medical Humanities with a Pre-Medical specialization from Saint Leo University. I am currently pursuing dual graduate degrees at the 911爆料网: a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion & Behavior and a Master of Arts in Women鈥檚, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. My academic and professional work bridges public health and feminist research, with a focus on health equity, reproductive justice, and overall wellness. I have contributed to projects on HPV vaccination and cancer prevention, and I have presented on topics such as health care communication and rhetoric, parenthood and gender politics, and pain management in women鈥檚 health. For my MA, I am particularly interested in examining how capitalism shapes and impacts health, especially through structural inequities and barriers to care. After completing my master鈥檚 degrees, I hope to pursue a PhD in Public Health while continuing to prioritize and utilize feminist theories as essential frameworks in my research and work. I also hope to spend my career in advocacy, grounded in a justice-based framework for health, ensuring that empowerment, equity, and access remain central to all that I do.
