Rachel Burton (Tampa campus)

Title: Graduate Assistant
Office: ALN 226

Rachel joined the Office of Graduate Studies in 2026 as the Graduate Assistant for Graduate Student Services. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Saint Leo University in May 2026 and is currently pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in College Student Affairs in the USF College of Education.

In her role, Rachel supports the Office of Graduate Studies by helping develop and facilitate programs, events, and initiatives that foster graduate student engagement, connection, and a strong sense of community across the university.

Rachel brings a passion for student success and leadership, shaped by a variety of student engagement and service experiences. At Saint Leo University, she worked in Career and Accessibility Services, where she supported students with accessibility needs and assisted with professional development initiatives. As a First-Year Experience Peer Mentor, she helped new students successfully transition to college by connecting them with campus resources and opportunities for involvement. She also spent a semester sailing around the world as a Student Life Assistant with Semester at Sea in a collaborative role for Colorado State University.   In this role, she collaborated on student life programming and created meaningful engagement opportunities for students living aboard the ship.

Whether she's planning programs, connecting with students across campus, or exploring a new corner of USF each day, Rachel enjoys building relationships and creating welcoming spaces where graduate students can thrive. She is excited to help strengthen the graduate student experience and welcomes ideas for programs and activities throughout the year.
