Tampa Annual Funding Process
In previous years, allocations followed an annual process: you submitted a budget by the end of the fall semester, waited until spring break to learn if it was approved, and then could start using the funds on July 1st. This drawn-out process left hundreds of thousands of dollars allocated to student organizations unspent, while more active organizations couldn't host all the events they wanted to.
Student Government has heard this feedback from student organization leadership, and we're excited to announce a new funding process. You will not need to submit an annual budget request for Fiscal Year 2027-2028. Instead, when the next new fiscal year begins in July 2027, student organizations will submit funding requests on a rolling basis starting that month.
More details on the new process will follow, and the page will be updated promptly with new information — for now, there's no annual budget deadline to worry about.
