These documents represent the foundational and primary laws that the Student Government Senate abides by. The Constitution outlines our fundamental structure and powers while the Statutes provide the detailed laws that govern this institution. 

 

Legislative Rules of Procedure (ROPs)

This document provides the Senate鈥檚 official Rules of Procedures (ROPs) that detail the inner workings of the Senate. From explaining Senate Leadership roles to how meetings and legislative actions are conducted, the Senate is officially bound to its Rules of Procedures to ensure order and consistency in Senate operations. 

 

Standing Committee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Here you will find the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each Senate Standing Committee. These SOPs outline their specific functions, duties, and internal processes. 

 

Senate Newsletters

Each month, the Senate releases its newsletter highlighting recent projects, legislation, and activities of the Senate offering an accessible way for the student body to stay informed and engaged with the Senate鈥檚 work.
