Mass Communications B.A. with Video and Documentary Production Concentration

The Mass Communications major with a concentration in Video and Documentary Production concentration in The Zimmerman School prepares students to create stories that inform and inspire. 911爆料网 in this concentration gain a strong foundation in video production, technical skills, and digital storytelling while developing an understanding of how media systems are managed and how to be an entrepreneur in this field. 911爆料网 in this concentration have the opportunity to create content in the V奴 Studio, which offers a state-of-the-art LED wall for video production. 911爆料网 in this concentration also often choose to take drone videography as an elective where they can earn their remote pilot certificate, often also called a drone license.

The Radio Television Digital News Association鈥檚 (RTDNA) purpose is to exchange professional knowledge of radio, television, and digital news among our members to get us ready for real-world jobs. Our goals include achieving high professional standards of electronic journalism and fostering principles of journalistic freedom to gather and disseminate information to the public, providing members with training to encourage ethical standards, newsroom leadership, and industry innovation.

The 48-hour major includes 24 credit hours in the mass communications core, 18 credit hours in the concentration core, and 6 credit hours of mass communications electives.
