Coursework
Spring 2027 | January – May 2027
The Copenhagen Beyond the Classroom program is comprised of a spring 2027 IDH 4200 Honors Geographical Perspectives course offered on Tampa campus with a two-week trip to Copenhagen, Denmark at the conclusion of the semester.
The course will focus on the social, political, economic, technological, and ecological choices that the engaged citizens of Copenhagen have enacted over the past thirty years to shape their city.
- What lessons can we extract to create a sustainable Tampa Bay by 2050?
- What does a sustainable culture look like? What kinds of policies created the best results?
- What market forces and incentives made capitalism work in their favor instead of against them?
- How does sustainability impact the food you eat, the way you move around the city, the types of media you create, the art you enjoy, and the communities you build?
